The following mixture has shown positive results:
Slippery elm Ulmus rubra bark: 1 ounce
Marshmallow Althaea officinalis root: 1 ounce
Meadowsweet Filipendula ulmaria: 1 ounce
Yellow dock Rumex crispus root: 1 ounce
Boiling water: 2 pint
Place the meadowsweet and yellow dock in water and simmer until two pints remain. Cool and strain. Pour over the slippery elm and marshmallow and leave to steep overnight. Take three to four tablespoons every three hours for the first two weeks and then every four hours for an additional three weeks.
STOMACH SUPPORT FORMULA II (ULCERS)
Another effective herbal mixture is:
Oregon grape Mahonia aquifolium fluid extract: 6 tablespoons
Echinacea Echinacea angustifolia fluid extract: 3 tablespoons
Marshmallow Althaea officinalis fluid extract: 3 tablespoons
Mix all the ingredients. For an acute case, take 30 drops in a cup of warm water one hour before every meal and before bed. In a chronic case, build up to 30 drops a day over a month, starting with 10 drops per day.
