GOLDENSEAL AND LICORICE BLEND
This blend can be prepared using fluid extract, tinctures, dried herbs, or powdered for capsules.
Burdock Arctium lappa root: 1 ounce
Dandelion Taraxacum officinale root: 1 ounce
Parsley Petroselinum crispum leaf: 1 ounce
Licorice Glycyrrhiza glabra rhizome: 1/2 ounce
Goldenseal Hydrastis canadensis root: 1/2 ounce
Kelp: 1/2 ounce
Red raspberry Rubus idaeus leaves: 1/2 ounce
Use either extracts or tinctures. Combine, bottle, label, and store in a cool dark place. Use 10 to 15 drops extract or 15 to 20 drops tincture in a little water three times daily.
Alternatively blend the dried herbs and use one teaspoon of the blend in one cup of boiling water to prepare an infusion. Use four to six tablespoons infusion three times daily.
To prepare capsules, mix all the herbs and powder, using a mortar and pestle or a clean coffee grinder (it is good to dedicate one just for herbs). It is much easier to use a capsule filler and tamper machine, which are fairly inexpensive.[56] Use two capsules three times a day.
